The Gilbert & Sullivan Society is excited to announce that it will be producing The Magic of the Musicals between Thursday October 6 and Saturday October 15 at The Earl Cameron Theatre in City Hall.

The Magic of the Musicals brings together a selection of some of the finest and best loved songs from the West End and Broadway stage, highlighting both history and future of the Gilbert & Sullivan Society.

In addition to songs from past hit Gilbert & Sullivan Society productions, including Jesus Christ Superstar, Dreamgirls, Fiddler on the Roof and Chicago, the show will feature a Rodgers and Hammerstein Medley, a G&S medley and a Sondheim section with tunes from hits like Company, Into The Woods, A Little Night Music.

The production will also give the audience a preview of some possible future shows, including Broadway hits Mamma Mia, Matilda, Miss Saigon, The Lion King and The Phantom of the Opera.

John Barnett, president of the Gilbert & Sullivan Society's executive committee, said: "For more than 40 years, G&S has brought a wide range of hit musicals to the stage in Bermuda.

"This year, we wanted to showcase not only some of our most memorable past productions, but give the audience a sneak peak of what's to come, all while highlighting some of the best local talent."

In addition to the adult cast, the producers will be looking for talented young people (over the age of 8) to bring to life songs from shows including Annie and Oliver.

Auditions for this fun filled show will be Friday May 27 to Sunday May 29.
